Privacy notice
What happens to your information.
Short version: this site collects very little, uses it only for what you asked for, and sells nothing to anyone. The detail is below.
Last updated 9 September 2026. Edge151 is the data controller. Contact hello@edge151.com about anything on this page.
What is collected, and when
Nothing is collected simply because you read a page.
If you fill in a form
Your name, email address and the fact that you ticked the consent box, along with the date. Nothing else.
If you email
Whatever you put in the email, held in the mailbox like any other correspondence.
Cookies and analytics
Set through the consent banner. Decline and only the cookies needed to make the site work are used.
Assessment tools
Grades you enter into Datum Quick Grade stay in your own browser. They are never sent to Edge151 or anywhere else.
What it is used for
Form submissions are used to send you the thing you asked for, and to reply if a conversation follows. Book signups are used to tell you about the book. Emails are used to answer you.
The lawful basis is your consent, given when you tick the box. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email or writing to the address above, and you will be removed.
Your information is not sold, rented, or passed to anyone for their own marketing. No automated decisions are made about you.
Who else can see it
A small number of suppliers process data as part of running the site. Each holds it under contract and uses it only to provide their service.
- The website host, which stores the site and its database
- The form plugin, which stores submissions inside the site
- The email provider used to send and receive messages
- The consent banner provider, which records your cookie choice
- Any analytics provider you have consented to
Some of these operate outside Jersey. Where that happens, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place.
How long it is kept
Form submissions are kept while you remain subscribed, and removed within a month of you asking. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and reviewed periodically. Cookie consent records are kept for the period set out in the consent banner.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. Ask by emailing hello@edge151.com and you will get a response within one month.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner at jerseyoic.org.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people already on a list will be sent by email.
